In Russia, even hiring a prostitute apparently comes with an installment plan now.

A screenshot circulating on Russian social media shows T-Bank, formerly known as Tinkoff Bank, offering customers the option to split several rather suspicious transactions into installments.

The payments include transfers of 55,000 rubles (roughly $650), 36,008 rubles (about $420), and 21,000 rubles (about $245), along with charges to a place called Club Shpilka, or Club Hairpin.

A Russian social media user joked that T-Bank is now offering installment plans for prostitutes, adding that the cyberpunk future has truly arrived.

Of course, the screenshot doesn’t establish what the payments were actually for, or whether the bank knew anything about the alleged services. It appears to be a regular installment-payment feature applied to selected transactions, rather than a special financing program for sex workers.

Still, the idea of financing a one-night stand over several months feels remarkably appropriate for the times.

You know the economy is struggling when even a one-night stand comes with a payment plan.
