In Russia, an RTX 5090 Can Cost More Than a Three-Bedroom Apartment

Some RTX 5090 graphics cards in Russia are now listed for around 500,000–620,000 rubles (about $6,100–$7,600).

For roughly the same money, listings in the northern city of Vorkuta show entire three-bedroom apartments of up to about 70 square meters (753 sq ft) selling for 450,000–500,000 rubles.

So the choice is yours: ray tracing at maximum settings, or your own apartment above the Arctic Circle.

What would you choose: an RTX 5090 or an apartment in Vorkuta?

Russia’s Strangest Homes Are Available to Rent — and One Is for Sale

From a UFO in the Caucasus to a mushroom-shaped cottage and a retired Yak-40 aircraft, some of Russia’s strangest buildings can be booked for an overnight stay.

Prices reportedly range from around $100 per night for a tiny fairy-tale cottage to about $8,200 per month for a 410 m² mansion near Moscow.

The famous Moscow Egg House is the exception: it is currently advertised for sale, not rent, at approximately $5.1 million.

Gen Z Russians have started renting storage units because rent and mortgage prices in Moscow are insane.

A 108-square-foot unit near downtown Moscow costs just 17,000 rubles — about $218 a month, while smaller boxes for clothes and other belongings cost around 3,000 rubles — about $39.

Meanwhile, rent for a one-bedroom apartment starts at 70,000 rubles — about $900 a month.

A whole pirate ship is on sale in Russia for just 1.5 million rubles ($19k).

It is actually a 1,700-square-foot house in Udmurtia, complete with a deck, hold, and masts — basically a place where you can live out your “Blackbeard” fantasy.
