A Russian Orthodox priest says wives should stop nagging their unemployed husbands.
Archpriest Alexey Batanogov said constant criticism in that situation usually leads only to defensiveness or arguments. He noted that a man may be out of work because of a life crisis, illness or depression.
Instead of blaming him, he advised couples to discuss the problem calmly and look for a way out together.

A Moscow man chose his pet pig over his wife.
A mini pig given to a Moscow couple as a wedding anniversary gift ended up becoming the reason for their divorce.
The pig, named Khavronya, was supposed to be a small home pet, but eventually grew to about 110 pounds. According to Lenta.ru, the animal started ruining furniture in the apartment and even took over the couple’s bed.
The wife suggested giving the pig to a farm or a zoo, but her husband refused. Eventually, she gave him an ultimatum: her or the pig.
He chose the pig.
The couple has now started divorce proceedings.

A domestic violence ban would discourage Russians from getting married, a State Duma lawmaker said.
According to Nina Ostanina, head of the Duma Committee on Family Protection, “guys will be afraid” of impulsive police reports from women and may refuse marriage — or fall under the childfree ideology, which is banned in Russia.
She argued that such a law could push men away from marriage and having children.
A man in Moscow had his wife committed to a private rehab facility outside the city — paying about ₽450,000 (roughly $5,000) for a six-month stay — all to avoid dividing property during a potential divorce and to take custody of their child.
Earlier this year, the couple’s relationship started to fall apart, and 34-year-old Oksana began considering divorce. Her husband noticed the shift and decided to act first. After she returned home from an evening out with friends, he brought in a pair of “extraction workers” — people hired to forcibly transport someone to a rehab program.
Two men showed up, injected her with a sedative, and took her away. She woke up locked inside the facility.
