Russians are being warned that playing GTA 6 could destroy their souls, according to the chairman of a Russian Orthodox activist movement.

Mikhail Ivanov, head of the public movement Russia Orthodox, has urged Russians to stay away from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, arguing that the game promotes gangster culture, violence, and sexual immorality.

Speaking to Gazeta.Ru, Ivanov said the GTA series normalizes stealing cars, selling drugs, killing police officers, and breaking the law.

He also pointed out that the game repeatedly violates three biblical commandments: “Thou shalt not kill,” “Thou shalt not steal,” and “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

According to Ivanov, spending money on GTA 6 isn’t just buying entertainment — it’s investing in your own spiritual decay.

He urged parents not to purchase the game for their children, describing GTA as a kind of school without teachers or God.

The warning comes just weeks before GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.

For the record, this isn’t an official ban. It’s a warning from a religious activist who would apparently prefer players to take their driving lessons somewhere other than Vice City.

GTA 6 hasn’t even been released yet, and it’s already going to hell.
