Russia is making its million-ruble “Mother Heroine” bonus automatic for women who raise 10 or more children.

The honorary title comes with a one-time payment of 1 million rubles (about $12,000) and is awarded to women who meet the requirements for raising 10 or more children.

From January 1, 2027, the government plans to make the million-ruble payment automatic through Russia’s Social Fund, removing the need to separately apply for it.

Ten kids. One million rubles.

Or roughly $1,200 per child.
