A Russian English teacher temporarily forgot Russian after waking up from anesthesia for a colonoscopy — and could only speak English.

The 28-year-old teacher from Vladimir reportedly underwent anesthesia for the first time during a routine colonoscopy.

When he woke up, he couldn’t communicate in Russian and instead spoke exclusively in English. Medical staff spent more than an hour trying to bring him fully around, and even called his wife.

Several hours later, his Russian finally returned when he needed to tell everyone that he wanted to go to the toilet.

Apparently they rebooted him in English.
