Russia has finished 7th at an international grave-digging championship in Hungary.

The Russian team — a blogger and an employee of the Novosibirsk Crematorium — competed against 18 other two-man teams to see who could dig the fastest, most accurate and aesthetically pleasing grave.

Competitors had two hours to dig a grave roughly 6 ft 7 in long, 2 ft 7 in wide and 5 ft 3 in deep, followed by 15 minutes to fill it back in and create a neat burial mound.

Russia missed the required depth by just 2.8 inches and finished seventh.

Last year they finished dead last.

They really dug themselves out of that hole.
