A Russian pensioner reportedly threatened to call the police on a coffee shop because Dobby from Harry Potter looked too much like Vladimir Putin.

The incident was filmed in Saratov, where the woman noticed an image of Dobby displayed at a local coffee shop and immediately saw a resemblance.

“It looks just like Putin,” she says in the video.

When an employee explains that it’s simply Dobby from Harry Potter, she isn’t convinced. She argues that people should be treated with respect, points out that Putin was elected again and is “working” and “fighting,” and eventually threatens to involve the police.

“I’m going to call the police and tell them that the image on your screen insults our leader,” she says.

She ultimately tells the young employee to pass the complaint on to the manager.

Strangely enough, this isn’t Dobby’s first Putin controversy. Back in 2003, Russian and international media reported that a group of Russian lawyers was considering suing Warner Bros. because they believed the house elf had been deliberately designed to resemble Putin.

More than two decades later, Dobby is still causing problems.
