Russia’s Ministry of Education says a child’s desire to eat gummy candy shaped like worms is “not appropriate.”

The statement appears in methodological recommendations sent by the ministry to Russian regions.

The document says that candy shaped like worms, blood or feces can influence children’s food choices through advertising and foreign online content, including Halloween-themed videos.
